Using MapifyStats
These terms apply to mapifystats.com and its browser map maker and data briefs. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly. The current map maker is free and does not require an account.
Your inputs and exports
You are responsible for having permission to use the data you import and for how you use or share your exported maps. MapifyStats does not claim ownership of the data you provide.
Review the selected metric, units, matched rows, labels, and source before publishing a map. An export does not verify the truth of the values you supplied. Keep appropriate attribution and follow the terms that apply to underlying datasets and other third-party material.
Public data and attribution
Our briefs describe their data sources, time periods, and calculations. Public estimates may be revised, and different releases can give different results. Maps simplify the information; tables and downloads provide values for closer inspection.
When using a brief's data or map, retain the original source and release information. MapifyStats is an independent project, not an official government publication. Questions or corrections can be sent through our Contact page.
Accuracy and availability
We work to make the site useful and the calculations understandable, but the tool and content may contain errors or become unavailable. Check the original sources and your own calculations before using a result for an important decision.
Browser changes and cleared storage can affect saved drafts. Keep your own copies of source data and exported maps; the site is not a backup service.
Responsible use
Do not use the site to infringe others' rights, distribute malicious files, or interfere with the site's operation. Do not misrepresent an illustrative example or your own uploaded values as verified official data.
Third-party services
Source links, advertising, hosting, analytics, and external websites are provided by separate services. Their own policies apply to your use of them. Our Privacy Policy explains the site's information practices.
