The first come, first served campground (no reservations) Belle Fourche River Campground is a 2-loop, 45-site campground (43 pull-through sites with room for RVs up to 35') with 4 ADA sites and 3 tent-only group sites. Drinking water is available at water spigots and in the restrooms. No hookups are available. Large cottonwood trees provide shade. A picnic shelter and tables are available north of the campground. 14-day limit on occupancy.
No reservations are available for this campground. Occupation is on a first come, first served basis. There is a 14 day limit on occupancy. The campground will fill on some nights from June through September. There are typically sites available until 6:00 pm every day.

- $20 · Individual sites can accommodate up to 8 people. A maximum of two vehicles (or 4 motorcycles) are permitted at each site. The nearby picnic area may be used for overflow parking.

Accessibility and facilities

- Wheelchairs should be able to navigate around the campground, picnic and amphitheater areas with little difficulty. Be aware that the roads are paved but most areas have gravel parking with grass and dirt camping areas, except the accessible sites which have cement areas and a raised platform for tents.

- Four sites in the campground are accessible - sites A-2, A-4, B-11, and B-25. Campground restrooms are accessible. The outdoor amphitheater is wheelchair accessible. The picnic area restrooms and drinking fountain are accessible. Two picnic tables will accommodate wheelchairs. They are located on either side of the sidewalk before you reach the restrooms.

Source: National Park Service API for sites, facilities, campground locations and published fee entries; NPS Public Use Statistics for monthly recreation visits, 1979–2025. Snapshot retrieved 2026-10-03. 474 NPS site records include 62 national-park API records; Sequoia and Kings Canyon share one API record. These record counts are not the official count of individually designated parks. 392 API site records have matched visitation history, including the separately reported Sequoia and Kings Canyon visit totals combined for their shared API record. 665 campgrounds are included.
Complete monthly series reconcile with the source’s annual totals. Published annual totals remain available for years with partial monthly reporting. Four monthly entries contain negative accounting corrections. They remain in the archived data and annual totals, and are unavailable as ordinary monthly visit counts. Blank data is not zero. Recreation visits are visits, not unique people. Month as percent of annual peak = selected month visits ÷ largest monthly count that year × 100, requiring twelve nonnegative monthly values. This helps compare recorded seasonality; it is not a crowding forecast, reservation forecast, or present-condition report.
Activities and amenities reflect published NPS entries, rather than a guarantee of access on a particular day. Fees and pass categories are dated 2026-10-03; official site and reservation links provide current conditions and rules. Campground points are published NPS coordinates.
