Set in a grove of cottonwoods and acacia trees, the Rio Grande Village Campground is located near the Rio Grande. Elevation: 1,850 feet. Paved roads connect each campsite, and grassy areas separate each site. Flush toilets, running water, picnic tables, grills, and some overhead shelters. Dump station nearby. Campers enjoy birdwatching, hiking, exploring. A camp store with showers and a park visitor center are nearby.
Please plan ahead. Reservations are required for this campground. There are no first come, first served campsites. This campground is open year-round, but only a limited number of campsites are available in the summer months due to the extreme heat (110+ degrees). May 1 - October 31, 2021: 17 campsites reservable 6 months in advance and 7 sites reservable up to 14 days in advance. - $16 · Per night. Campsite capacity is maximum of 8 people and two vehicles. Reservations required through www.recreation.gov. Park entrance fees are separate from campground fees. An entrance pass is required in the park and while staying in the campground.

- Paved and flat, the Rio Grande Village Campground is fairly easy to negotiate with a wheelchair. The Rio Grande Village Nature Trail begins behind campsite #18. The first portion of the trail is an accessible floating boardwalk over a small wetland. This portion is suitable for wheelchairs.

Complete monthly series reconcile with the source’s annual totals. Published annual totals remain available for years with partial monthly reporting. Four monthly entries contain negative accounting corrections. They remain in the archived data and annual totals, and are unavailable as ordinary monthly visit counts. Blank data is not zero. Recreation visits are visits, not unique people. Month as percent of annual peak = selected month visits ÷ largest monthly count that year × 100, requiring twelve nonnegative monthly values. This helps compare recorded seasonality; it is not a crowding forecast, reservation forecast, or present-condition report.
